A new review has been posted on our website. This time it is not whisky but a coffee liqueur infused with good German Whisky. The name Bairish Coffee @stonewood_whisky is a word play referring to the famous Irish Coffee, and it is a great drink either way.

Full bodied coffee aromas go well with the light floral character of the whisky. And the whisky is none other than Stonewood’s 5yo single malt Drà, so only high quality products were used.

Penderyn’s Icons of Wales series celebrates the history of Wales. Number 7 honours Rhiannon, the Otherworld woman from the Mabinogion.

It is also a great whisky. It was first matured in ex-Buffalo Trace barrels, than 40% were matured in ex-red wine casks and 60% in ex-sherry butts. While it is pleasantly dry in the mouth and with a good amount of oak spice, the finish is super sweet and fruity. That was a surprise.

John B. Stetson is most famous for his hats but there also is a very solid bourbon named after him.

Rather affordable with a price point similar to that of the JB Black, it is a pretty simple, straightforward bourbon. Not a must have by any means but good value for money.
